Why This Guide Exists
Houston County records are not all held in one public system. The Houston County Sheriff’s Office operates the current-inmate interface for people in county custody, while a booking file may require a Public Information Act request and the court record can show what happened later. The official state-prison locator serves a different custody stage. This site gathers those distinctions, official starting points, and record-request context so that a search does not confuse an accusation, a current-custody entry, and a final disposition.
The site has no booking-photo archive of its own. When an official HCSO roster displays an image, the image remains with the government custodian. A booking image is connected to an arrest record, not proof of an offense or guilt.
What the Home Page Covers
The Houston County home guide brings the county’s record paths together without creating separate facility, removal, arrest-log, or roster pages.
- How the official HCSO current-custody roster differs from a full history of every Houston County arrest.
- Where a person’s booking record may be requested when the current roster no longer answers the question.
- How IVSS can provide covered custody-status notifications without functioning as a booking-photo source.
- Why County Clerk and District Clerk records are the next step for a public court disposition.
- When a Texas Department of Criminal Justice search is more appropriate than a county-jail roster.
What This Private Site Cannot Do
Houston County Busted Mugshots is privately operated and is not connected to a Texas government office, sheriff, jail, corrections department, court, or police agency. It cannot release, hold, transfer, or locate a person; post bond; schedule a visit; send money; file a records request; or give legal advice. It also cannot promise that a phone number, fee, address, or record status remains current.
- It cannot confirm a person’s current custody, charge, release, or court outcome.
- It cannot retrieve a nonpublic, sealed, juvenile, expunged, or restricted record.
- It cannot decide whether a person is the subject of a warrant or advise how to handle one.
- It cannot guarantee that an official roster includes every arrest, photo, or transfer.
Only the originating government office can verify an official record. A roster entry, booking image, charge description, or news item is not a conviction, and public information can be incomplete or change after publication.
Search Partners and Referral Disclosure
Some pages may include search tools run by independent providers. Those providers set their own terms, pricing, results, and data practices. If a visitor chooses a paid service through one of those tools, Houston County Busted Mugshots may receive a referral fee that helps support the site. That relationship does not give this site control over a partner’s records, search results, charges, or decisions.
